We recommend taking the city tour bus, which includes highlights of Cape Town and an optional charge for the Table Mountain Cable Car Ride. On the bus tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore all the main attractions of the city.

In the early evening, join us for a tour briefing followed by a warm welcome dinner at an African restaurant, complete with music and entertainment. It’s the perfect way to kick off your South African adventure!

Day 3: Cape Town – Hermanus

(Driving day 1: 140 km/90 miles)

Today marks the beginning of our South Africa Cape Adventure tour! We make our way to the local Harley Davidson Dealer. Once everyone is geared up and ready on their bikes, we kick off our ride on the 1,940 miles/3,100 km long Cape Adventure tour. Leaving beautiful Cape Town behind, we head south for an unforgettable journey filled with history and excitement.

Our route takes us along the stunning coast to Betty’s Bay, where we’ll have the opportunity to visit the local African Penguin colony. Continuing, we arrive at the coastal resort town of Hermanus, renowned for its incredible whale-watching opportunities. During winter, southern right whales migrate from the Antarctic to these shores, offering a truly remarkable sight.

Day 4: Hermanus – Mossel Bay

(Driving day 2: 420 km/260 miles)

Today’s journey takes us through the granary of South Africa to the southernmost tip of the continent, Cape Agulhas, where the Atlantic and Indian oceans converge. To fully appreciate this natural phenomenon, we ascend the old lighthouse for panoramic views.

In Bredasdorp, we visit Kapula Candles, renowned for their exquisite handcrafted candles. After enjoying lunch in the historic town of Swellendam, we continue along the picturesque Garden Route to Mossel Bay. This coastal town holds historical significance as it was visited by Bartholomeu Diaz and Vasco da Gama during the 15th century. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to take a dip in the Indian Ocean, adding a refreshing touch to our adventure.

Day 5: Mossel Bay – Storms River

(Driving day 3: 250 km/156 miles)

Today, we embark on a journey along the renowned Garden Route, one of South Africa’s most beloved destinations. Our route leads us to the charming town of Knysna, celebrated for its picturesque harbor and lagoon. We pause for a coffee break before ascending to the iconic Knysna Heads, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and lagoon.

Following lunch in Plettenberg Bay, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Monkeyland Primate Reserve (optional charge), adding an extra dimension to our adventure. Continuing along this diverse route, we eventually reach Tsitsikamma National Park, where natural wonders await.

Following our break, we proceed to our guest lodge near Addo Elephant National Park. After lunch, you have the afternoon to unwind by the pool. Later in the day, we embark on one of the tour’s highlights: a sunset and night safari in an open safari vehicle within Addo Elephant NP. As one of the oldest national parks established in 1931, it boasts the presence of the Big Five: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard. Enjoy snacks, beer, and wine as we venture into the heart of the African wilderness.

Our visit to an ostrich show farm will provide insight into the significance of this industry.

Tonight, we indulge in a culinary delight as ostrich steak graces our dinner menu, complemented by exquisite local wines. It promises to be a perfect evening, combining gastronomic pleasures with the rich heritage of the region.

Stretching as the longest wine route globally, it boasts some of the finest port wines produced by select wineries en route. Our itinerary includes stops at iconic biker pubs such as Ronnies Sex Shop, Diesel & Creme Diner, and Karoo Saloon, all owned by avid Harley enthusiasts eagerly anticipating our visit.

In the afternoon, our route traverses two picturesque passes and meanders through the historic town of Montagu, renowned for its fruit farms and production of delectable dried fruits.

Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch, steeped in Dutch and French colonial heritage, are famed for their exquisite wine production. Following more exhilarating mountain passes, we reach the heart of the Winelands region.

Day 11: Stellenbosch – Cape Town

(Driving day 9: 160 km/100 miles)

We bid farewell to the historic town of Stellenbosch, a hub of both the wine industry and rich Dutch heritage, boasting iconic Cape Dutch architecture and Stellenbosch University. Our journey leads us toward False Bay, tracing the coastline past charming fishing villages.

The Cape of Good Hope, rounded by explorer Bartholomeu Diaz in 1488 during his quest for a new eastern trade route, awaits our exploration. Returning toward Cape Town, we traverse the breathtaking Chapmans Peak Drive, passing through seaside havens like Hout Bay, Camps Bay, and Clifton. Arriving in Cape Town, we return the motorbikes just in time for lunch.

You’ll enjoy the final two nights in Cape Town, with this afternoon and evening free for personal leisure. Perhaps indulge in a sunset cruise aboard a catamaran yacht followed by a sumptuous seafood dinner at one of Cape Town’s premier restaurants along the V&A Waterfront.
