Day 2: Seattle

(Explorer & fun day)

Our day begins with an information session about the Canadian Rockies Tour, including details on motorcycle and car rental procedures. Following the meeting, we explore Seattle’s iconic waterfront, with options for a ferry ride or Duck boat tour on Elliot Bay, a unique “Underground tour” of Seattle’s subterranean tunnels, a visit to the Space Needle or the museum dedicated to Jimi Hendrix, or an entertaining salmon toss at Pike’s Place Market.

Seattle, the birthplace of Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and the fictional Dr. Frasier Crane, is renowned as the coffee capital of America, home to Starbucks, Seattle’s Best Coffee, and Tully’s Coffee. We’ll dine at a fine seafood restaurant along the waterfront.

The city’s Scandinavian heritage is evident in the Ballard district, home to the Nordic Heritage Museum, the sole museum in the U.S. focused on Scandinavian immigration. Seattle, often referred to as “Rain City,” shares a friendship city status with Bergen, Norway, highlighting its vibrant cultural connections.
