Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Delhi, India

(Bus transfer: 560 km/350 miles)

Upon your arrival at the Delhi airport and retrieval of your luggage from baggage claim, please proceed to the arrival hall where our local representative will extend a warm welcome to you. Once everyone has gathered, we will transfer to the hotel for a brief period of rest. In the late evening, we will embark on a journey to Manali via night bus, arriving early the following morning.

Day 2: Manali

(Explorer & fun day)

Take in the breathtaking vistas of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal Ranges, which attract tourists year-round. Our exploration begins with an introduction to the motorbikes and the local tour leader team. Following this, we’ll venture out to explore the main street and the mall road, an integral part of the highway leading to downtown. We highly recommend exploring Old Manali to indulge in shopping and sampling local cuisine.

Day 3: Manali

(Driving day 1: Optional km/miles)

Following a local breakfast, we’ll begin the day with a test ride on our Royal Enfields, immersing ourselves in the true passion for driving through this magnificent landscape. You’re encouraged to ride around the city and its surrounding areas, exploring at your own pace. Dive into the local markets to get a taste of the culture and perhaps find some unique treasures. We’ll reconvene for dinner at the hotel, sharing stories and experiences from our day’s adventures.

Day 4: Manali - Jispa

(Driving day 2: 140 km/88 miles)

We kick off our riding adventure by heading towards Jispa, a charming mountain village nestled amidst rivers and spectacular peaks. Riding along the famous Leh-Manali Highway, we’ll encounter views and curves that will etch themselves into your biker’s heart forever. This journey also marks our first exposure to the erstwhile Buddhist kingdom, renowned for its unparalleled beauty and myriad opportunities for exploration.

Day 5: Jispa - Sarchu

(Driving day 3: 90 km/56 miles)

Continuing our tour along the spectacular Leh-Manali Highway and Leh Road, we traverse some of the highest passes and snow-covered mountains, providing an exhilarating sensation of riding over clouds with the world lying at our feet. Our majestic journey culminates in Sarchu, where we’ll enjoy a delightful evening immersed in the local culture, residing in charming tented accommodations.

Day 6: Sarchu - Leh

(Driving day 4: 248 km/155 miles)

Today we embark on a thrilling journey across two of the highest mountain passes worldwide, each poised to leave you awe-struck by their sheer beauty and magnificence. As we traverse the Lachulung La pass, standing at an elevation of 4920 meters, prepare to witness the surreal sight of clouds swirling overhead and mountains vanishing into the mist. Our adventure continues to the Tanglang La pass, towering at a breathtaking height of 5350 meters above sea level. Accessible only for four months of the year due to heavy snowfall, this pass offers a rare opportunity to behold its unparalleled grandeur. Having conquered these majestic passes, we arrive in the enchanting city of Leh, where the afternoon awaits us with further exploration and discovery.

Day 7: Leh

(Explorer & fun day)

Today is dedicated to exploring the spiritual heart of the region with visits to the monasteries of Hemis, Thiksey, Shey, and the Shanti Stupa. These sites offer a deep dive into the rich cultural and religious tapestry of the area, showcasing stunning architecture, intricate art, and serene environments conducive to reflection and peace. After immersing ourselves in these spiritual havens, we return to Leh. The evening is yours to wander through the local markets, where you can absorb the vibrant atmosphere, shop for local handicrafts, and savor traditional cuisines.

Day 8: Leh - Nubra Valley

(Driving day 5: 274 km/172 miles)

Get ready for another remarkable day. Our journey to Nubra Valley takes us across the highest drivable pass in the world, the legendary Khardung La, standing tall at an astounding altitude of 5680 meters. As our bikes rhythmically thump their way through this breathtaking terrain, prepare to be mesmerized by the unparalleled beauty and spectacular vistas that unfold before you. At certain junctures, it may seem as though the roads themselves are merging seamlessly with the majestic mountains. Standing atop the pinnacle of the pass, you’ll feel a sense of majesty akin to royalty, as if you’re ruling over the world from its very zenith.

From there, our route leads us to the serene Buddhist Temple of Hundar, nestled amidst the awe-inspiring landscape of the valley. As we continue our journey through this majestic terrain, we’ll be treated to a visual symphony of colors, with rivers, mountains, mud, and snow coming together in perfect harmony. Our evening concludes with a cozy gathering at the local tented camp, where stories of the day’s adventures intertwine with the tranquility of the surrounding wilderness.

Day 9: Nubra Valley - Leh

(Driving day 6: 274 km/172 miles)

Our journey back to Leh retraces the same route, allowing us to revisit the stunning landscapes and majestic vistas we encountered on our way to Nubra Valley. However, this time, the scenery may appear in a different light, casting new shadows and illuminating previously unseen details. Once again, we pause at the summit of the Khardung La Pass, where breathtaking panoramic views stretch out before us.

Day 10: Leh - Lake Tsokar

(Driving day 7: 160 km/100 miles)

We embark on a drive to Lake Tsokar, a destination known for its tranquil beauty. The serene atmosphere of the lake, set amidst the stunning backdrop of the surrounding landscape, is sure to captivate you. Its peaceful waters and the quietude of the area offer a perfect moment of reflection and connection with nature. The mesmerizing experience at Lake Tsokar is one that many find unforgettable, leaving you with a lingering desire to return.

Day 11: Lake Tsokar - Jispa

(Driving day 8: 255 km/141 miles)

As we journey back to Jispa, we traverse once more through the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Himalayas, where majestic mountains, winding rivers, and verdant valleys create a breathtaking tapestry of natural beauty. Along the way, we pause to drink in the splendor of the Lachalung La pass, where clouds drift lazily overhead and distant peaks pierce the skyline.

With each passing mile, we are reminded of the raw grandeur of the Himalayan terrain, its rugged contours, and pristine beauty leaving an indelible impression on our souls.  Back in Jispa, we reflect on the day’s journey, grateful for the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the timeless majesty of the Himalayas.

Day 12: Jispa - Manali

As our exhilarating journey through the awe-inspiring Himalayas draws to a close, we embark on our final day of driving. Reveling in the thrill of navigating the winding roads of the Leh Manali Highway, we make our way to Manali by afternoon. Returning our motorcycles, we retire to the hotel and come together for a heartfelt farewell dinner, cherishing the memories created amidst the majestic landscapes of the Himalayas.

Day 13: Manali - Delhi

Today, we’ll immerse ourselves in the charm and history of the old town of Manali, exploring its rich culture, ancient structures, and vibrant streets. As you wander through the town, take in the sights, sounds, and smells that make Manali unique. Enjoy the local cuisine, shop for handicrafts, and perhaps visit some of the historic temples and landmarks. In the evening, we’ll prepare for our return to Delhi by catching a (night) bus.

Day 14: Delhi

(Explorer & fun day)

Today, you have the entire day at your leisure to explore Delhi and unwind after your exhilarating Top of the World Himalayan Trip. Take this opportunity to delve into the diverse culture, history, and flavors of India’s capital city. You might want to visit iconic landmarks, such as the Red Fort, India Gate, and Qutub Minar, or explore the bustling markets of Chandni Chowk for some last-minute shopping and sampling of local delicacies.

In the evening, we will gather for a farewell dinner, a perfect occasion to share stories, reflect on the incredible journey you’ve had, and celebrate the end of an unforgettable adventure with your fellow travelers. This dinner will not only offer a chance to enjoy delicious cuisine but also to bid goodbye to the friends you’ve made along the way.

Day 15: Departure Delhi - Home travel
