This tour is a deep dive into the “Real America,” showcasing its majestic beauty and vastness. It’s carefully curated to include a mix of experiences that capture the essence of America: bustling big cities, serene ocean views, desolate deserts, majestic mountains, expansive prairies, and, of course, fantastic motorcycle roads and back roads that are a dream for any rider.

Day 1: Departure - Arrival Los Angeles, California

Welcome to Los Angeles!
UserOnce all tour participants have gathered, we will convene for a welcoming meet-and-greet. The agenda for the evening focuses on introductions and getting to know one another, capped off with a dinner enjoyed together in authentic American fashion. For those who still have energy to spare after their travels, there’s the option to explore a local bar in the vicinity. This evening is the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and look forward to the exciting adventure that lies ahead.

Day 2: Los Angeles - San Diego

(Driving day 1: 212 km/132 miles)

We kick off with an informative meeting to discuss the details of your Coast to Coast Tour, including practical aspects and preparations for motorcycle and car rental checkouts. This session ensures everyone is well-prepared and informed before we set off on our cross-continent adventure.

Once everyone is geared up and ready on their bikes, we embark on our journey. Los Angeles fades into the background as we head south, embarking on an adventure rich in history, excitement, and fun. Our initial drive will encompass a mix of urban, highway, and the scenic Pacific Coast Highway 1, leading us toward the vibrant city of San Diego. We’ll start at a leisurely pace to allow everyone to acclimate to California’s driving conditions and temperatures.

Lunch awaits at Ruby’s Diner in Laguna Beach, where we recommend indulging in a milkshake prepared in the old-fashioned way—a must-try! Afterward, we’ll continue directly to San Diego. Upon arrival, we’ll drive to the Historic Old Town, check into our hotel, and then spend the remainder of the day exploring the myriad attractions this delightful city has to offer.

This first day on the road introduces you to the stunning beauty of the Pacific coast and the lively atmosphere of San Diego, setting the tone for the incredible experiences that await us on this coast-to-coast journey.

Day 3: San Diego - Yuma

(Driving day 2: 362 km/225 miles)

Get ready for an extraordinary day of riding! Our journey begins with a thrilling ride along the famous Old Highway 80 and Historic Highway 94. Expect to encounter winding roads and breathtaking scenery along the way. As we continue, we’ll ride near the Mexican border, providing a firsthand look at the significant resources the United States allocates to safeguard its border. We’ll even pass through a checkpoint during our ride. Our route will then take us to the Desert View Tower, offering a remarkable vantage point overlooking the valley. Lunch will be enjoyed in Calexico, located near the Mexican border.

The second half of our day promises to be nothing short of spectacular. We’ll venture into the Imperial Sand Dunes, where you’ll experience the sensation of riding in a real sand desert—a truly unique and rarely encountered experience. From there, we’ll make our way to Yuma, where we’ll spend the evening in the charming historic district.

This day is packed with thrilling riding, stunning landscapes, and unique encounters, making it an unforgettable part of our cross-continent adventure.

Day 4: Yuma - Tucson

Our journey continues as we head towards Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a unique and captivating natural destination. We’ll enjoy lunch in the vicinity of the Space Age Lodge in Gila Bend, where we can refuel and relax.

Upon reaching downtown Tucson, we’ll have the opportunity for some cowboy shopping at Boot Barn, a perfect chance to explore Western-style gear and immerse ourselves in the local culture.

As we progress through our cross-continent tour, each stop brings its distinct charm and experiences, adding to the richness of our adventure.

Day 5: Tucson - Tombstone

(Driving day 4: 270 km/170 miles)

Today promises to be a thrilling day as we embark on another adventure along breathtaking motorcycle roads. Our journey begins with an exhilarating ride to the summit of Mt. Lemmon, reaching an elevation of 2,792 meters. The ascent is sure to be a fantastic experience, and you’ll find yourself smiling throughout the ride as we take in the scenic beauty.

Upon reaching the summit, we’ll pause for a refreshing drink and enjoy the stunning view before continuing our journey through Coronado National Forest. Our destination is the historic and iconic old western town of Tombstone, known for its wild past. Here, we’ll explore famous sites like the O.K. Corral, which witnessed the legendary gunfight between the Earp brothers and the Clantons, as well as Boot Hill and the renowned Big Nose Saloon. Tombstone is a true piece of the Wild West, and our visit promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Day 6: Tombstone - El Paso

(Driving day 5: 460 km/290 miles)

Our adventure in the old Wild West continues as we make our way to the historic town of Bisbee, known for its rich history and charming atmosphere. From there, we’ll journey to the Geronimo surrender monument, located near the site where the famous Apache leader Geronimo surrendered. This event marked the end of Indian warfare in the United States, and visiting this monument is a significant historical experience.

Next, our ride takes us to Columbus, a town with historical significance as the site of the Pancho Villa raid and the location where Pancho Villa’s death mask was made. Riding along the Mexican border, we’ll reach El Paso, where we’ll enjoy the breathtaking Scenic Drive and stop at a mountain viewpoint that offers stunning views of two states, Texas and Mexico.

During our time in El Paso, we’ll also visit Barnett’s Harley Davidson, which boasts the world’s largest selection of Harley Davidson motorcycles. It’s an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the world of motorcycles and Harley Davidson culture. Get ready for an exciting day of history, culture, and scenic beauty.

Day 7: El Paso - Alpine

(Driving day 6: 470 km/294 miles)

Our journey continues with a visit to the mesmerizing Salt Flats, where we’ll also have the chance to experience the atmosphere of the Salt Flat Café. The unique landscape of the salt flats offers an intriguing contrast to the surrounding scenery.

From there, we’ll ride through Davis Mountains State Park, enjoying the natural beauty and rugged terrain of the area. The winding roads and mountainous landscapes will provide a thrilling riding experience.

One of the highlights of the day will be our ride by Mt. Livermore, which promises stunning views and photo opportunities. Our route will take us to Fort Davis, a historic site with its own stories to tell.

Finally, we’ll make our way to Alpine, where we’ll spend the evening. Get ready for another day filled with breathtaking scenery and unforgettable riding experiences.

Day 8: Big Bend National Park

Today is all about immersing ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of Big Bend National Park. We’ll embark on a journey through the entire park, exploring its diverse landscapes and visiting numerous viewpoints along the way. This is a day for capturing stunning photographs, so make sure your cameras are at the ready.

Given the desert climate of the region, it’s essential to dress appropriately for the hot weather. Be prepared for a day of awe-inspiring natural wonders and the unique landscapes of Big Bend National Park.

Day 9: Alpine - Del Rio

(Driving day 8: 334 km/208 miles)

Today, we continue our adventure through the Wild West as we traverse the vast expanse of Texas. Our journey begins with a visit to the saloon of the legendary Judge Roy Bean, often referred to as “the law west of Pecos.” It’s a chance to immerse ourselves in the history and lore of the Wild West.

Next, we’ll explore the beautiful Seminole Canyon, renowned for its rich archaeological heritage and numerous artifacts that provide insights into the region’s past. From there, we make our way to Del Rio, where we’ll have the opportunity to sample some local wines at the Val Verde Winery. It’s a delightful way to experience the flavors of the region.

As we continue our ride across Texas, we’ll encounter more of the diverse landscapes and cultural treasures that make this part of the country so unique.

Day 10: Del Rio - San Antonio

(Driving day 9: 321 km/200 miles)

Today’s journey takes us through the Texas mountains as we climb higher into this rugged terrain. Along the way, we’ll make a pit stop in Camp Wood, a charming spot that adds to the character of our adventure.

The highlight of the day will undoubtedly be riding the famous Three Sisters, a set of iconic motorcycle roads known for their exhilarating twists and turns. As we navigate these winding roads, be mindful of fellow bikers who have also come to experience the thrill of the ride. We’ll make several stops along the way to savor the scenery and capture some memorable moments.

Don’t forget to grab a patch and t-shirt to commemorate your conquest of the Three Sisters. Afterward, we’ll head to Leakey, where we’ll refuel with lunch at a popular biker bar. Our journey continues as we ride to San Antonio, a city known for its vibrant culture and historic charm. We’ll spend the evening exploring the captivating River Walk, a delightful way to unwind after a day of thrilling rides and scenic beauty.

Day 11: San Antonio - Galveston

As we bid farewell to the inland landscapes, our journey leads us to the stunning coastal shores of the United States. We’ll arrive at Surfside Beach, where the allure of coastal beauty beckons us. Riding along the sandy beaches, we’ll be treated to picturesque ocean views and the invigorating sea breeze.

Our destination for the day is the vibrant coastal city of Galveston. Known for its lively atmosphere and status as a popular vacation spot, Galveston offers a blend of relaxation and excitement. Explore the city, soak in the coastal vibes, and enjoy the charms of this coastal gem. It’s a delightful way to spend the day on our cross-continental adventure.

Day 12: Galveston - New Iberia

Our journey continues along the enchanting coast and shores, allowing us to savor the coastal scenery and the refreshing ocean breeze. We’ll experience a unique part of the journey as we board a local ferry, adding an element of maritime adventure to our cross-continental tour.

Our route will take us through the breathtaking locales of Gilchrist and Pecan Island, where natural beauty surrounds us at every turn. These picturesque landscapes offer the perfect backdrop for a memorable ride.

As we head inland once again, our destination is New Iberia. This charming town will provide us with a taste of its unique culture and hospitality, adding another layer of diversity to our cross-country adventure.

Day 13: New Iberia - New Orléans

(Driving day 12: 192 km/120 miles)

Get ready for an adventure that’s truly unique and a bit on the wild side! Today, we venture into the mysterious and enchanting world of the Louisiana swamps. Our journey takes us south, where we’ll embark on a boat tour guided by a Cajun expert. But here’s the thrilling part: you’ll have the opportunity to witness wild, free-roaming alligators up close!

During the tour, the Cajun guide will even feed these incredible creatures right in front of you, providing you with an unforgettable and heart-pounding experience. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, so have your cameras ready for some amazing shots.

After our swamp adventure, we will continue our ride along the beautiful coast, taking in the picturesque views that this region has to offer. Our destination for the day is the legendary city of New Orleans, where we’ll check in at our hotel in the vibrant French Quarter.

Once everyone is settled into their rooms, we’ll gather for a delicious dinner on the famous Bourbon Street. Get ready to immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of New Orleans, one of the most exciting and culturally rich cities in the United States. The night is yours to enjoy, so make the most of this incredible experience!

Day 14: New Orléans

(Fun and Explorer day)

Today, we are exploring New Orleans, one of the world’s most fascinating cities. It has a unique blend of history and influences from Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, as well as other continents. It’s a brilliant mosaic of culture, food, and music. Here, we find full plates of “gumbo,” enjoy long nights in jazz and blues clubs, explore historical suburbs, and partake in festivals year-round.

Our day begins with a guided bus tour (optional) that takes us to most of the city’s popular attractions, providing us with an instant introduction to the city’s rich history. Following that, we embark on a spectacular cruise on the Mississippi River aboard the old steamer boat Natchez, where we also savor our lunch.

In the evening, we continue to savor the vibrant atmosphere of Bourbon Street with its numerous blues and jazz clubs. The unique and rich ambiance makes it an ideal place to visit “The House of The Rising Sun,” which comes highly recommended.

Day 15: New Orléans - Destin

(Driving day 13: 433 km/343 miles)

Our journey continues as we ride along the stunning Gulf shores of the Mexican Gulf, passing through the U.S. states of Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. Along the way, we traverse through harbors, cross bridges, and explore scenic locations like Moss Point, Biloxi, Gulfport, and Bay St. Louis. An interesting stop awaits us at the battleship USS Alabama, where we can delve into its history.

Afterward, we make our way to Destin, where we will spend a delightful evening on the wharf, enjoying the pleasant surroundings and atmosphere.

Day 16: Destin - Homosassa

(Driving day 14: 550 km/343 miles)

Today promises another spectacular ride along the scenic Florida coast and its beautiful beaches. Our journey begins as we ride along the Gulf of Mexico, passing by the picturesque beaches of Mexico Beach and Panama City Beach. We then continue our route through the lush Apalachicola National Forest, taking in the natural beauty along the way.

Our day concludes in Homosassa, where we plan to spend a delightful evening at a local bar, enjoying the camaraderie and the unique local atmosphere.

Day 17: Homosassa - Daytona Beach

(Driving day 15: 203 km/126 miles)

Our adventure across Florida, the Sunshine State, begins today as we bid farewell to Homosassa. We head east and make our way to the renowned Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the fascinating history and evolution of drag racing, getting an up-close view of this thrilling sport’s beginnings.

After we visit the museum, we continue to Daytona Beach. Our ride takes us down the legendary Main Street, where we’ll have the chance to capture memorable photos beneath the iconic Daytona “Biker” Beach sign, marking a true highlight of our journey.

Day 18: Daytona Beach - Orlando

(Driving day 16: 199 km/125 miles)

We embark on the famous “Ormond Scenic Loop & Trail,” a 50 km double loop of road that crosses some of the most beautiful and diverse scenery in Northeast Florida. “The Loop” is not like other rides; enjoy the freedom, sunshine, open road, and graceful curves—it is a dream for all motorcycle enthusiasts everywhere. The comfortable ride is a must for those who like an open highway and Florida’s natural beauty. We end our beautiful ride by visiting Destination Daytona (home to the world’s largest Harley Davidson dealer, Bruce Ross Meyer, with a showroom of 109,000 sq. ft.). Here, we enjoy our lunch and soak in the great atmosphere. Thereafter, we start our final leg to return our bikes/cars and celebrate everyone making it home safely after a fun and eventful tour together.

Day 19: Departure Orlando - Home Travel

We say goodbye to the America’s Coast to Coast Adventure tour, Orlando, and begin our journey back home. As a group, we will travel by shuttle to the airport. We want to express our sincere gratitude for choosing to tour with Explorify, and we hope you had a fantastic ride, filled with good times and unforgettable experiences.
